Jaime Valderrama a.k.a “Mataka"; Artist of Copiapó ,Atacama, his beginnings with the art start in 2010 doing diverse works related to the graffiti. In 2013 he  studied graphic design where he developed his interest in drawing, illustration and digital art. His work is related to places, people, fauna and flora, as well as territorial identity and his childhood memories of living in the desert, in the area of Tierra Amarilla, Copiapó and Caldera.
In 2014 he arrives to Valparaiso where his work can be observed in different hills of the port, solo murals and in conjunction with other prominent local artists.

In Valparaíso, like many artists throughout history, Mataka achieves an evolution of his work and where he finds new inspiration due to the differences that mark Valparaíso as a territory and source of creativity, compared to his hometown.
